October 7 - Fulbright U.S. Student Program

Awards a year of funding to students for study, research, or teaching English in the classroom abroad.

October 7 (internal) - DAAD Graduate Study in Germany

Awards two years of funding for graduate study or up to one year of doctoral research in Germany. Please contact Lesha Greene for more details.

October 27 - Princeton in Africa

Offers year-long service placements for talented and passionate college graduates with organizations working across Africa for the advancement of the continent.  

October 30 - Paul and Daisy Soros Fellowships for New Americans

Funds graduate and professional studies for New Americans, immigrants, and children of immigrants, who are poised to make significant contributions to US culture, society, and their field. 

October 31 - Hertz Foundation Applied Sciences Fellowship

Provides unique financial and graduate fellowship support to the nation’s most remarkable students in the physical, biological and engineering sciences including up to five years of funding, valued at up to $250,000, and the freedom to pursue innovative projects wherever they may lead.

November 1 - Princeton in Asia

Offers year-long opportunities to foster mutual appreciation and cross-cultural understanding between the United States and Asia through immersive work fellowships in host organizations and communities.

November 1 - Princeton in Latin America

Offers year-long service fellowships to highly qualified recent college graduates in partnership with NGOs and multilateral organizations to constructively impact the communities they serve.

November 10 - 14 - National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowship (NSF GRFP)

Funds research-based STEM graduate study anywhere in the U.S. and is open to seniors, alumni, and early-career graduate students.

November 15 - Missisippi Teacher Corps

Offers a two year program that trains non-education majors to teach in high-poverty public schools in Mississippi while working on a Master of Arts degree in Curriculum and Instruction at the University of Mississippi.

November 17 - Goldwater Scholarship

Recognizes second and third-year undergraduates already active in and committed to pursuing a career in STEM research.

November 18 - Critical Language Scholarship

Fully-funded language immersion program where students spend a summer studying one of a dozen languages considered critical by the United States’ government in the country where the language is spoken.

December 1 - Truman Scholarship

Premier fellowship for juniors with a demonstrated commitment to public service. Provides funding for graduate school as well as professional development opportunities.

December 1 - Pitt Nationality Rooms & Intercultural Exchange Programs (NRIEP) Scholarships

Provides financial assistance to undergraduate students looking to study abroad in specific countries associated with a Nationality Room.

December 1 - Yenching Scholars

Funds an interdisciplinary master’s program in China Studies at Peking University in Beijing for young people who show promise to lead and innovate in their fields.

December 5 - SMART Department of Defense Education program 

Covers full tuition and living expenses for academically excellent students pursuing degrees in disciplines of particular interest to the Department of Defense like science and mathematics, with subsequent job placement in civilian laboratories upon graduation.
