In this immersive introduction to criminal law and justice, you will investigate a fictional criminal case that develops throughout your time in Greater Manchester. As new evidence and questions emerge, you'll learn the legal concepts you need to make sense of the case, explore how the English criminal justice system works, and consider how its approach differs from the United States.

Design and pursue an independent research project connected to your own academic interests while immersing yourself in Senegalese culture, history, and daily life. Your research might explore public health, sustainability, politics, economics, education, history, the arts, or another field—the question is yours to develop. You'll also study Senegalese culture and history, participate in academic and cultural experiences, and live with a Senegalese host family. Together, these experiences will challenge you to consider how place, culture, community, and perspective influence not only what we study, but how we understand what we find.
This 4-week program, offered both in May and June, provides you with an immersive experience shadowing and learning from a single specialty in one of St. Lucia’s newest hospitals. You will observe doctors and other medical professionals in healthcare delivery and patient care. This program is observational only – no direct care or patient contact is allowed and it follows AAMC’s guidelines for study abroad students. Working alongside clinicians and hospital leadership in Saint Lucia, you'll examine healthcare delivery through a comparative lens — considering how resource constraints, infrastructure, and policy shape patient outcomes differently than in the systems you're used to studying at home.
