Kelly Medley

National Fellowships Advisor

Kelly supports undergraduates, graduate students and Pitt alumni applying to fellowships through individualized advising as well as group workshops and informational sessions. Before joining the Frederick Honors College, Kelly worked as the sole faculty member overseeing nationally-competitive awards at her alma mater, the University of Florida.

Her professional background is strongly rooted in academic advising, where Kelly was a leader at both a regional and international level in NACADA: The Global Community for Academic Advising. She is also published in the Journal of the National Collegiate Honors Council (JNCHC) for research conducted on the unique roles that honors academic advisors play in the higher education landscape.

Kelly enjoys volunteering in animal welfare, spending time in natural settings, watching college sports and travelling as much as possible. She has even led study away trips with students to Washington D.C., Portland, Seattle, and most recently for a month in Belize. She has a cat, two large dogs and a partner with whom she is excited to celebrate their tenth wedding anniversary this summer.
