The Frederick Honors College Welcomes Suitable CEO Mark Visco to Its Board of Visitors

The David C. Frederick Honors College is proud to announce the appointment of Mark Visco (A&S ‘14, CBA ‘14) to its Board of Visitors.

The FHC Board of Visitors comprises a well-rounded group of successful leaders across disciplines such as business, government, law, medicine, and science. Each of the Board’s members offers unique insight from their diverse professional and personal experiences to assist FHC in meeting its strategic goals.

Mark Visco brings a diverse perspective on student engagement and programming as the co-founder and CEO of Suitable. As a company, Suitable assists schools in tracking and assessing curricular and experiential learning activities while also helping to improve student participation and initiatives. Pitt uses Suitable to organize the Outside the Classroom Curriculum (OCC) programming as well as FHC’s Honors OCC program. The Frederick Honors College requires students to complete the HOCC programming in order to graduate with an honors designation. During his time as a Pitt student, Visco worked at MARC USA in digital marketing and account strategy as well as marketing and research with Echo Strategies.

“We are excited and honored to welcome Mark Visco to our Board of Visitors,” said Dean Nicola Foote. "Mark's invention of Suitable - which originated as a Pitt capstone project - revolutionized co-curricular learning in the United States and has made our extraordinary Honors OCC program possible. I'm thrilled to be working with him in this new capacity and for his perspective as a young alumnus and successful entrepreneur!"
