Ty Williams

Academic Advisor

Ty has always been fascinated by human beings and the relationships they share. He enjoys building connections and helping others. After taking a course in Human Geography and spending four weeks abroad in Greece and Italy with 40 other high school students, his fascination transformed into a passion. That passion that led Ty to pursue a degree in Global Cultural Studies at Point Park University, which he completed in 2021.

Given that Ty's personal circumstances required him to work full-time while pursuing his education, Ty is acutely aware of the many challenges students face on the road to academic success. As an FHC academic advisor, he hopes to help students overcome these obstacles and achieve their goals in any way he can.

Ty originally hails from Canton, Ohio. He grew up in the Carrick neighborhood of Pittsburgh and attended Carrick High School. Currently, he resides in Penn Hills. When he is not on Pitt's campus, you can find Ty reading, following his favorite sports teams, watching anime, or exploring one of the many neighborhoods and parks in the city with his family.
