Mark started at the University of Pittsburgh in March of 2026, serving as the liaison between the David C. Frederick Honors College and the Office of Undergraduate Admissions and Financial Aid. He communicates FHC options, processes and policies with prospective students and families via phone, email, face-to-face, and online information sessions. Mark represents the David C. Frederick Honors College at recruitment events, implementing strategies to recruit a diverse pool of first-year applicants.
Mark grew up in the Pittsburgh area, graduating from the Indiana University of Pennsylvania in 2018. He taught high school biology, environmental science and physical education for 7 years in Ft Myers, Florida and Yorktown, Virginia before moving back home. He also coached baseball, basketball and served as assistant athletic director.
Mark enjoys spending time with his wife, Abrianna and trying different food and brewery spots around the city of Pittsburgh. He enjoys traveling and has been to 26 out of 30 MLB stadiums in the US and Canada. On the weekends you can find him playing wood bat baseball, cheering on the Buccos at PNC Park, or escaping the city at their cabin in Elk County.
