Kelly serves as the primary fellowship advisor for nationally and internationally competitive STEM-focused awards. Her training and research have spanned multiple disciplines in life and biomedical science across the research continuum, from basic scientific discovery to population health impact. She has contributed to twenty peer-reviewed papers and published science and health-related news articles as an AAAS Mass Media Science and Engineering Fellow. Prior to her arrival at the University of Pittsburgh, Kelly was an academic researcher at the level of fellow, associate, and research faculty and, most recently, served as a federal health scientist administrator.
