Envisioning a Just Pittsburgh 2024

Frederick Honors College Invites You to Participate in the 2nd Annual Envisioning a Just Pittsburgh

The David C. Frederick Honors College at the University of Pittsburgh is proud to support the second annual "Envisioning a Just Pittsburgh" initiative curated by FHC’s Artist-in-Residence, Morgan Overton. This initiative calls on all members of the Pittsburgh community to submit creative works that help us imagine and shape a more equitable future for our city. This initiative is important to the Frederick Honors College as it aligns with our commitment to fostering diverse perspectives, our desire for our students to engage with the broader Pittsburgh community, and it promotes creative thinking and expression

About the Initiative

In collaboration with the August Wilson African American Cultural Center, Carnegie Museums of Pittsburgh, Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh, other departments at the University of Pittsburgh, and 1Hood Media, we're seeking art that expands diversity consciousness and celebrates minoritized culture and perspectives.

Join Envisioning a Just Pittsburgh Curator and Visual Artist Morgan Overton at the information session on August 29th at 12:00 p.m. to learn more about the 2024 Call for Art, hear from last year’s winners and ask questions!
